ADVANCE DEPOSIT is required for each caboose reserved. Personal checks are accepted.  Guests are expected to stay for the entire period for which caboose is reserved. Deposit is applied to first night of reservation.

BALANCE OF RENT PAYMENT is due at check-in time and must be made by cash, traveler's check, or other certified funds.

PERSONAL CHECKS are accepted.
 We accept Out of State Checks for reservation deposits.

General Policy:
Because we are a "seasonal" business, with only a few months operating season, we need to be "strict" with our Cancellation Policy. We have experienced some rather unpleasant results when we "modify or alter" the cancellation policy, with No Shows on popular holiday weekends. Not only does this cause us to lose money unnecessarily, it is also unfair to other people who could have booked for that period. Below you will find our Cancellation Policies.
One night's deposit required on all reservations. Deposit is non-refundable unless cancellation notice is given at least 14 days prior to arrival.

For Those Very Special Occasions, The Ultimate Caboose:  Our NYC Cab. Up to 6 people. This Caboose Is  fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need for a wonderful getaway. You will find pots, pans, dishes, coffeemaker, toaster, fridge, full-size stove microwave, utensils, coffee, and tea are provided, everything you need and even a blender to whip up some Margaritas. Please bring your own toiletries such as soap, shampoo and toothbrush. We supply summer time bedding.

Less than two weeks notice, the deposit is forfeited unless the entire reservation can be re-booked. In that case, only the processing fee applies. You may re-schedule your new arrival date up to 14 days after you original reservation. Your deposit may be applied to the new date if days chosen are available. Early departures are subject to cancellation policies and full payment is required. I cannot accept e-mail cancellations.
 Making a reservation at our caboose rentals is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy:

Remember these are REAL RAILROAD CABOOSES, not a Taj Mahal.
They are nine foot wide & thirty five feet long.
We kept everything almost original in the cabooses, so it not like a motel room 
You will be staying in a REAL CABOOSE!

Of course we added some of the comforts of home.
Although the caboose cabins are themed to look original, they are air conditioned, fully outfitted.

In the past four years we had a 100% positive rating with children and 99.9% with adults.
Do yourself a favor,  if you think the other person is not a railroad nut?
Leave the other negative .01% at home or a local motel and have a good time!
 
Kids love trains, and most adults love trains. Kids love the excitement of being in a caboose.
An experience they'll be talking about for weeks or longer.

 Once people visit here, they look around and realize the broad diversity that this area has to offer. Old Fashioned Family Fun, Knoebels Amusement Resort, PIONEER TUNNEL COAL MINE & STEAM TRAIN, ROHRBACH'S FARM MARKET, BAKERY & GIFT SHOP, ROLLING HILLS RED DEER FARM, Broken Wheel Bison Ranch, just to name a few.

 It is often the wide variety of attractions, shopping, our historical heritage, excellent food, and fun activities for all ages that causes people to stay longer once they are here, and to return often. Many people return here year after year because of all that this area has to offer amid such a peaceful country setting.
    If you are planning ahead - reserve now for Spring, Summer and Fall. The earlier you make your reservations, the better the likelihood of obtaining your desired dates. Weekdays are often less busy than weekends
